Counselor's Corner

What do our school counselors do:

• Provides brief counseling to individual students and small groups to help address identified issues.

• Consults with parents/guardians regarding concerns about their children.

• Consults with teachers and administrators regarding students' needs.

• Coordinates with school and community personnel to bring together resources for students and family and make referrals to outside agencies as needed.

• Teaches the guidance classroom lessons to all students. 

Classroom guidance lessons are grounded with instruction on the following three domains of the American School Counselor Association National Model:

• Academic Development

• Career Development

• Social/Emotional Development
